Santa Monica Pier, California – spending a day at the beach

You might saw the first pictures about my trip to Santa Monica on my Instagram pictures, so I wanted to add some more pictures about this beautiful place. I really like the beach, to see all the different people or just walk on the beach…

Santa Monica pier was not so crowded as I remembered it from the years before, but still a very nice and popular place. All the nice shops, different restaurants and the interesting looks of some people – and you can see I enjoyed icecream at Ben & Jerry and later a Frappuccino at Starbucks…

Greystone Mansion Park Beverly Hills – Summer outfit with purple skirt

It is really a beautiful location – in the middle of Beverly Hills – The Greystone Mansion Park, not to far away from Hollywood and my hotel during these days, but this park is really special.

I took the chance to take a few pictures with my outfit for this morning. As you can see, perfect blue sky, flowers and trees everywhere and a combination with a white blouse and a purple skirt, combined with black/white pumps.

Los Angeles is such a great city and I enjoy every day I am allowed to stay here. Wishing you a great day (or wonderful evening…) – let’s see where I will do my next stop…. xoxo

Visiting Kodak Theatre Los Angeles in the afternoon – LA – Part 1

Hello everyone, another posting of my trip to California, this time with pictures of the famous Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. After a 30 minute drive from the beaches, I reached this great spot.

I visited it a few years before and knew they had a great Japanese restaurant inside, but this was closed :-( … so searching another possibility for the evening…

Kodak Theatre is famous for the Oscars ceremony, shopping possibilites, the Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre (with all the hand and footprints in concrete) and more. I will go to breakfast now (here it is 8.30am) and continue adding pictures later.

Translate: Hallo zusammen, ein weiteres Posting aus Kalifornien, wo ich gestern die Zeit hatte mir das Kodak Theatre anzusehen. Nach einer 30minütigen Fahrt vom Strand, war es dann erreicht.

Ich habe es schon einmal vor Jahren besucht, mit einem tollen japanischen Restaurant, welches aber leider geschlossen war :-(… also nach einer anderen Möglichkeit ausschau halten…

Kodak Theatre ist bekannt durch die Oskar-Verleihung, Shopping-Möglichkeiten und dem Walk of Fame, dem Chinese Theatre (mit allen Hand- und Fussabdrücken in Beton) und vielen anderen Dingen. Ich werde jetzt erst einmal frühstücken gehen und später weitere Fotos hochladen…

A stay in heaven – Westin Lake Las Vegas, Henderson, Nevada

How to describe a hotel and heaven? This time it was very easy… mostly I finished the rating of a hotel on the end of my postings, but this time I want to ask you? If you book for one night and extend your stay twice – isn’t it opinion enough?

I had the chance to stay first for one night in the need Starwood Westin property hotel – The “Westin Lake Las Vegas” in Henderson, Nevada – only 20 minutes outside of Las Vegas, Nevada on a hotel brand new on the Starwood property and formarly known as Loews Hotel. My first opinion was – too far away from Las Vegas, but it is only a 20 minute drive to the Strip and they offer complementary shuttle services to the Strip. So no problem.

I arrived at the Westin Lake Las Vegas hotel, which looks like a huge arabic golf resort, with great entrance (offering self+valet parking) and were guided to the Front desk directly. A friendly greeting and the information that my room was ready I always like to hear. They upgraded me to a wonderful suite with great view of the Lake Las Vegas… The room was really nice, but not the best on this Westin Lake Las Vegas property. Their lounge with arabic touch gives you access to the bar and also great evening view to the lake with fireplaces.

The pool(s) are really huge, warm and impressive – you might already saw the pictures on facebook or instagram during my days, and a small beach gives you access to the lake, where you can rent e.g. kayaks and more.

The restaurants and food is really delicious – awesome service and really good taste (also on In-Room-dining) and wonderful places to relax… but their most advantage (especially when you compare with other Vegas hotels) are the people.

I arrived back from my trip to Hoover dam and they knew what I like, I found fresh sandwiches, nacho chips and drinks with a personal greeting card on the room… another day when I had the shootings at Valley of Fire for my projects and just checked it at 2pm to leave the property 10 minutes later and just mentioned that I am glad to be back and will return not before 8.30pm because going to the desert, they refilled my refrigerator with my favorite water by “Fiji” and bottles of cokes and left a lovely message on my voicemail (“Please take a look on your minibar, we refilled it for you complementary, please enjoy and have a great evening…”) which is not typical for hotels to take care in this very private way and check before you arrive, what you like… (it is always great on hot days to have enough softdrinks and water instead of a bottle of champagne…)

I know as a frequent traveller and Starwood member for many years the treatments and ways to indulge their guests, but not very often in this personal style. If you visit this property as a regular guest, I can absolutely recommend this hotel for one night or one week. If you also member of the Starwood program, just think about redeeming your points, they charge you only 7.000 points for a night (SPG-category 3) and have to be category 5 due to the service and resort.

No resort fee, great free wifi-access and no parking fees for self parking… are absolutely great advantages – but the service will be every dollar worth to spent… Hope to see you sometime soon at the Westin Lake Las Vegas….

You all know that I cannot stop buying beautiful shoes and so it was a great surprise to see the new Louboutin store at Caesers Palace Forum Shops yesterday. Not so crowded and a bit bigger than the Louboutin store at Venetian Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas and a great collection.

I wanted to share some pictures of new shoes and the look of the shop with you (quality is a little bit low as taken with an IPhone on a darker place…) – and I might have taken a look what YOUR new Louboutin shoes will be.

Las Vegas City Trip – Eiffel Tower – City Center – Fashion Show – Sushi

After already uploading a few pictures during the day yesterday, I wanted to show some more pictures of my day in Las Vegas – still waiting for the luggage and another change on the rental car.

Starting the morning with a french breakfast at the Paris Paris Hotel on the strip, with great crepes and croissants before going on the FashionShow Mall and City Center with all the great labels we like (Gucci, Prada, Dior, Dolce, Armani, etc.) – so a real shopping paradise…

After that a another stop at the great and famous Caesers Casino with the Forum Shops (e.g. Agent Provocateur, Victorias Secret, etc.) – so a real busy day and after these hours, you really felt your feet (especially on high heels…!) and finally the rental car by Hertz got engine problems…

Evening was really wonderful – got a recommendation of a traditional Japanese Restaurant called Kaya Sushi which is open till 3am and offers real fresh made Sushi on fair prices… and most of the people there are no tourists, as it is in the middle of Chinatown Las Vegas…

Agent Provocateur, Victorias Secret, etc.) – also ein wirklich vollgepackter Tag, nachdem man die Füße gespürt hat (gerade auf High Heels) – und zu allem überfluss hat sich auch noch der Leihwagen verabschiedet (Motorschaden)

Der Abend war sehr schön – ich hatte eine Empfehlung für ein japanisches Restaurant erhalten – genannt Kaya Sushi welches bis 3.00 Uhr morgens geöffnet ist und wirklich frisches Sushi anbietet – zu fairen Preisen… und die meisten Besucher waren keine Touristen, fast nur Japaner/Koreaner, da es mitten in Chinatown liegt…

Lufthansa Flight LH452 from Munich to Los Angeles

Finally arrived in Los Angeles – that might be the best result for this trip. As you all know and saw via Facebook or Instagram, I left Munich yesterday afternoon German time at 3.45pm with LH452 from Gate H17/H18 to Los Angeles (LAX) and the flight was o.k., but a very friendly crew.

We had a delay of approx. 30 minutes, as items were still loaded but there will be an – on-time – arrival. Service on board was great and I decided to watch the two movies – “Mission Impossible 4″ and “In Time” which I both missed in cinema at home. More pictures of the flight will follow shortly, when I have a better internet connection.

Waiting on the luggage belt was the big surprise for many Lufthansa guests in Los Angeles, as the belt stopped after 30 minutes and a lot of luggage was missing. Their representative start to explain that this might be all and please visit “lost and found” – 62 baggage items were missing from Munich Airport, as they had problems with their luggage system, but they might arrive within the next days ?!?

So getting the rental car and arrived at the hotel in Los Angeles at 21.30 (LA-time – 6.30am in Europe) – so just time to go to bed and try to sleep a little bit. What a start.. more tomorrow.

Translate: Endlich in Los Angeles angekommen – und das ist wohl das beste Ergebnis des trips. Wie Ihr alle auf Facebook oder Instagram schon gesehen habt, bin ich gestern um 15.45 mit LH452 vom Gate H17/H18 nach Los Angeles (LAX) geflogen, der Flug war o.k., die Crew freundlich…

Es gab eine Verspätung von ca. 30 Minuten, da noch immer Gegenstände eingeladen werden mussten – aber es wird eine – pünktliche – Ankunft sein. Das Essen gut, der Flug relativ ruhig und ich hatte Zeit mir die Movies “Mission Impossible 4″ und “In Time” einmal anzusehen, da ich es in München nicht geschafft hatte. Weitere Fotos von dem Flug und das drumherum folgen, sobald ich ein besseres Internet habe.

Am Gepäckband in Los Angeles gab es dann die Überraschung für viele Lufthansa Gäste und mich, nachdem das Band nach 30 Minuten stoppte und eine große Menge Gepäck fehlte. Die Lufthansa-Mitarbeiter erklärten dann leise, man möchte doch bitte “Lost and Found” besuchen, da min. 62 Gepäckstücke in München nicht geladen wurden, da es am Airport ein Problem mit dem Gepäckband gab und das Gepäck käme dann in den nächsten Tagen nach Los Angeles nach ?!?

Also Leihwagen abholen (wenig zu verladen) und endlich um 21.30 Uhr (LA-Zeit – 06.30 in Europa) im Hotel. Nur noch ins Bett und versuchen etwas Schlaf zu bekommen… Welch ein Start… mehr am morgigen Sonntag.

Sydney – Skytower view – 360 degree Sydney view – 250meters above ground

This is the final posting of my trip to Sydney, but I really enjoyed the view – taken for Sydney Skytower, 250meters above the ground with a great 360 degree view all over Sydney, the beaches, the attractions and also the Sydney Airport. If you are interesting in special attractions you can do a Skywalk outside the tower… :-)

Harbour Bridge in the middle, Opera House on the right

Wherever I go, I always try to visit the TV-tower, highest skyscrapers or special attractions and taking tons of pictures. When going back to Los Angeles, I will try to go back to Griffith Observatory with the famous view of the LA downtown.

Before showing you the first fashion parts I selected for my trip I wanted to wish you a great Saturday evening, I will go now to city of Munich for dinner…

Translate: Dieses ist das letzte Sydney Posting und ich habe damals die Aussicht wirklich genossen – aufgenommen vom Sydney Skytower, 250 Meter über dem Boden mit einer atemberaubenden 360 Grad Sicht über Sydney, die Strände, die Attraktionen, bis hin zum Sydney Flughafen. Wer noch etwas mutiger ist, kann am Sydney Skytower auch einen Spaziergang außerhalb des Towers in 250 Meter Höhe machen.

Wo ich auch immer hinreise, ich versuche jedesmal auf einen Fernsehturm, den höchsten Wolkenkratzer oder besondere Attraktionen zu gehen und dort massig Fotos zu machen. Genauso wird es sein, wenn ich nach Los Angeles zurückkehre, werde ich wieder das Griffith Observatory besuchen, mit der tollen Sicht über Los Angeles.

Morgen werde ich Euch die ersten Outfits zeigen, die ich mitnehmen werde, aber zunächst wünsche ich Euch einen schönen Samstag Abend – ich werde jetzt in die Münchener Innenstadt zum Abendessen fahren.

Japanese Garden – Sydney, Australia – unbelievable place – moments of Asia

When entering the Japanese Garden in Sydney, Australia the first time – I won’t believe that it is in the middle of the city – only 10 minutes away from Opera House or Harbour Bridge, close the the also famous Darling Harbour.

The Japanese Garden is a typical asian garden in the middle of a big city – all the traditonal buildings, flowers, koi ponds and bridges everywhere – chance for a traditional tea ceremony of to get your own Bonsai tree.

If you are always in a hurry – you should visit this spot – a place of silence… and a place where you think, the time stands still… Was really impressing to see, before visiting Darling harbour with beautiful view of Sydney Skyline…

Translate: Als ich die japanischen Gärten in Sydney, Australien das erste Mal besucht habe – wollte ich nicht glauben, dass ich mich mitten in einer Großstadt befinde – nur 10 Minuten entfernt vom Opernhaus und der Harbour-Bridge und in unmittelbarer Nähe des Darling Harbour.

Der japanische Garten ist ein typisch asiatischer Garten, mitten in der Stadt – traditionelle Gebäude, Pflanzen und Blumen, Koiteiche und Brücken und ebenso die Chance für eine traditionelle Teezeremonie or einen eigenen Bonsai zu erhalten.

Wenn Ihr es auch immer eilig habt – solltet Ihr diese Plätze einmal besuchen – ein Moment der Stille… zum Nachdenken und dem Gefühl, dass die Zeit still steht… Es war wirklich beeindruckend zu sehen, bevor es weiter ging zu Darling Harbour mit der tollen Sicht auf die Skyline von Sydney.

Going to California – Los Angeles, San Diego and more… flights booked

It is finally done and I received my confirmation today – going back to sunny California for a few days – beautiful beaches, amazing cities and hotspots and also a few real great fashion stores and fashion spots.

To share the first moments with you I added a few pictures of my last trip to California and cannot wait to back to this beautiful place. During these days I will continue writing my blog and also upload tons of pictures during my days to my FACEBOOK page and also via Instagram.

So if you have not subcribed to my updates, please do this to keep in contact during these days… it seems to become my first “online” trip to California where you can become a part of it… :-)
