Yesterday I received a surprising gift with a beautiful fragrance by Vera Wang. I saw the commercial a few weeks ago, with a great and famous actress Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl, The Roommate) on TV and also on Youtube (attached below).
The package is really nice designed, included a small Eau de Parfum of Lovestruck 30ml and a Bodylotion 75ml and Shower gel of 75ml. The bottle with the roses gives a special attention and underscore the combination of this fragrance.
Lovestruck by Vera Wang is a sparkling floral – with great notes of pink guava and mandarin and also a great bouquet of tuberose and lotus blossom. For the next warming weeks, this might become my personal favorite for the day… to go to work, to meet friends, etc. – for the evening I will select a different fragrance.

Lovestruck von Vera Wang ist eine begeisterte Flora, mit tollen Spitzen von Pink Guave und Mandarin und ebenso ein tolles Bouquet von Tuberose und Lotusblüte. Für die nächsten wärmenden Wochen, ist dieses sicherlich einer meiner favorisierten Düfte für den Tag, für die Arbeit oder treffen mit Freunden – für den Abend werde ich einen anderen Duft wählen…
It is always a hard decision for me to select the right nail polishes right for the day, because I have so many polishes and favorite colors, but it depends often on the mood or on the reason for the day.
I prefer intensive red colors especially for travelling, it makes so much fun, when you give your passport to the officer and they look on your red nails and you will pass control immediately. :-)
I showed you my favorite four nail polishes for the day from left to right (OPI Russian Navy, Chanel Le Vernis 455 Lotus Rouge, Chanel Le Vernis 481 Fantastic and my tradtional one Chanel Le Vernis 18 Rouge Noir)
I personally like the nail polishes by OPI because they are much thicker and have a longer stability than nail polishes by Chanel – but Chanel is Chanel.
As you can see on the picture below I selected OPI Russian Navy for the day and the photoshootings in the afternoon. I had a few really beautiful pictures with a faux fur vest – I will upload them tomorrow.

I found a real great ad by Mac Cosmetics for the new metal colors which transforms powdery creams into liquid metal. I know and used these colors by MAC cosmetics with pigments in blue already, but these silver ones are real great.

Last weekend I had the opportunity to test the new mascara by Mac Cosmetics – the extreme black false lashes. We all know the ads and campaigns what different mascaras always offer and why they are so much better than other companies, so I didn’t expect so much more from this mascara.
When receiving the first preview a few weeks ago, I was wondering about the pictures and how extreme the mascara looks. I gave it a try and it was really interesting to see – if you use it twice or three times, you really get the impression of false lashes and extreme lengths.
Using it on my lashes will increase the volume and length, if you have softer and lighter lashes, you will receive big effects and a total change. The intensive mousse formula makes it special and you should give it a try. Cost is about 19 USD – might be a bit more expensive in other countries.

Time to change the nail lacquer before preparing with new styles for the Wiesn & Wasen at Munich Oktoberfest. After a few days with different red colored nails (e.g. Chanel Dragon, Rougemarie and Shirelle by MacCosmetics) I needed a change for more intensiv styles the next days.
So I decided to switch back to a black and blue shimmering nail lacquer by Chanel – Le Vernis – 461 Blue Satin, I received some time ago. The price is, if you have to buy it reguarly between 20-23 EUR, depending on the store and location.
I like the color, as it is very intensiv and flexible to combine. If you select red or purple nail lacquer you always have to take care on the lipcolor, so you are a little bit more limited for your day.
Chanel knows how to create nail lacquers with one time usage for a brilliant shine. I have combined it again with the OPI Rapi Dry Top Coat for quicker drying and also a more intensive shine.
I have to say that the combination of CHANEL and OPI works really great, if you use a lot of nail lacquers, you have to think about the real great Rapi Top Coat by OPI. It costs in Europe approx. 20EUR and is a must have.

Es wurde wieder einmal Zeit, den Nagellack zu ändern, bevor es in den nächsten Tagen zwecks Wiesn und Wasen, die Vorbereitung auf das Münchener Oktoberfest beginnt. Nach einigen Tagen mit roten Nägeln (u.a. Chanel Dragon, Rougemarie und Shirelle von MacCosmetics) brauchte ich für den Übergang und die intensiven Tage einen intensiveren Style.
Daher der Wechsel auf den schwarz und blau-schimmerenden Nagellack von Chanel – Le Vernis – 461 Blue Satin, den ich vor einiger Zeit erhalten habe. Der Preis liegt, wenn man Ihn regulär im Laden kaufen muss, zwischen 20 und 23 EUR, abhängig vom Geschäft und dem Ort/Land.
Ich persönlich, mag die Farbe, da diese sehr intensiv und flexibel ist. Wenn man roten oder lila-farbenen Nagellack wählt, muss man besonders auf die Lippenstiftfarbe achten und man ist ein wenig eingeschränkt.
Chanel versteht wie man Nagellacke herstellt, die nur einmal aufgetragen werden müssen und einen tollen Glanz erzeugen. Ich habe hier wieder mit dem OPI Rapi Dry Top Coat für schnelleres Trocknen und einen intensiveren Glanz nachgeholfen.
Ich muss sagen, dass die Kombination von Chanel und OPI wirklich sehr gut funktioniert. Wer also viel verschiedene Nagellacke verwendet, sollte einmal über den Rapi Top Coat von OPI nachdenken. Dieser kostet in Europa ca. 20 EUR.
Update: Ich hatte von Ingo noch den Hinweis erhalten, dass es ein Video von Chanel gibt, wo der Nagellack und weitere Farbtöne vorgestellt werden (Danke!).
