After visiting the Superbowl 2010 in Miami live and you might already saw the posting about that (here) – it has become a good tradition to watch the Superbowl live on TV or on a public place. This time it was a great situation, as I already booked my tickets to New York and the home team – the New York Giants reached the Superbowl final.
In Miami, two years ago, the whole city was ready for the Superbowl (New Orleans Saints vs. Colts) and you find cookies, drinks, T-Shirts everywhere for both teams, this time in New York you expect to get on every corner items of their own team – the New York Giants, but without big success. A few sports shops and a few restaurants made small parties, but to watch it live – e.g. on video walls @ Times Square – you will have no luck.
In my opinion the game was not so interesting as the years before, too many errors for a great and quick game – but nevermind – New York won and a few people started a party at Times Square.
The other interesting thing on Superbowl are always half time show (this year Madonna – and I do not want to rate it… :-) ) and the commercials during the game – after the great success of the Volkswagen spot last year with the small boy playing Star Wars – it was again Volkswagen and AUDI with two special spots. I have added them below. What do you think about the commercial spots.
Translate: Nachdem ich den Superbowl 2010 in Miami live gesehen habe und darüber geschrieben habe (hier) – ist es auch weiterhin eine gute Tradition gewesen, live vor dem Fernseher oder an einem öffentlichen Platz zu sehen. Dieses Mal war es eine glückliche Situation, ich hatte meine Flüge nach New York schon gebucht, als auch das Heimteam – die New York Giants – das Superbowl Finale erreicht haben.
In Miami, vor zwei Jahren, war die ganze Stadt bereit für den Superbowl (New Orleans Saints vs. Colts) and überall gab es Gebäck, Getränke, T-Shirts, etc. für beide Teams, aber dieses Jahr in New York war die Ausbeute eher spärlich. Einige wenige Sportgeschäfte hatten noch Shirts, wenige Restaurants machten kleine Parties, aber um es live auf großen Videowänden am Times-Square zu sehen – war schon sehr schwierig.
Meiner Meinung nach, war es kein so interessantes Spiel, wie die Jahre zuvor, zu viele Fehler für ein schnelles und gutes Spiel – aber abgesehen davon – New York hat gewonnen und ein paar Fans starteten eine kleine Party am Times Square.
Der zweite interessante Punkt am Superbowl ist immer die Halbzeitshow (dieses Jahr Madonna – ich spare mir einmal meine Meinung dazu :-) ) und die Werbung während des Spiels – nach dem großen Erfolg von Volkswagen im letzten Jahr mit dem Jungen in Star Wars Uniform – war es auch dieses Jahr für mich wieder Volkswagen und AUDI mit zwei sehr guten Spots. Ich habe Sie einmal unten beigefügt. Was haltet Ihr von den Spots?
Sorry for not posting so frequently during the last days, since I am in New York – but i am completly busy and just found the time for a few pictures on tour and uploaded them via Twitter or Instag.ram to my profiles.
So I wanted to take the chance this afternoon, to show you a few of the pictures of the last two days I uploaded, for the once not using Twitter or Instagram, before starting the longer postings again.
New York is really beautiful again, the weather for the first days of February amazing – sunshine everywhere and so many new places to discover.

Gestern aar der Superbowl Tag und die New York Giants haben gewonnen, was hier los war, könnt Ihr euch dann ja vermutlich denken – Fotos folgen dazu später – Euch einen schönen Tag – Grüße aus NYC – xt T.
Most of you also read in their emails – that Google will retire the service of Google Friend Connect to all blogs not operated by Google. That means that all webpages containing the Google-Friend-Connect outside the blogger website will not be able to be connected to their followers after March 1st, 2012.
For that situation I decided to follow the service of Google+ immediately and add the extra box for Google+ in the meantime also on the right part of my page, so that you can continue following me.

A few days ago I received a parcel by a friend sending me two calendars for the year 2012 he found randomly in a store and thought about me. I know her for years and whenever we go shopping together in Duesseldorf it is much fun.
She sent me these two calendars for my desk in my office and also for my desk at home and I really like the pictures of the past.
The Vogue calendar shows different black and white pictures taken between 1950 and 1990 and are really interesting to compare the style with today. The second daily calendar shoes different covers and ads, e.g. the one by DIOR you found on the second picture.
From time to time I will share a few great pictures of these calendars with you and I hope you like them. They are not from the Pirelli calendar or Lambertz calendar, but still very nice :-)
Translate: Vor einigen Tagen habe ich ein Paket von einer Freundin erhalten, die mir zwei Kalendar für das Jahr 2012 noch senden wollte, die Sie zufällig gefunden hat. Ich kenne Sie seit Jahren und wann immer wir zusammen in Düsseldorf unterwegs waren, war es großer Spass.
Sie hat mir gleich zwei Kalendar zugeschickt, damit ich einen für meinen Schreibtisch im Büro und einen für meinen Schreibtisch zu Hause habe und ich mag diese schönen alten Bilder.
Der Vogue Kalendar zeigt verschiedene schwarz und weiss Bilder, aufgenommen zwischen 1950 und 1990 und es ist wirklich interessant den Stil zwischen damals und heute zu vergleichen. Der zweite Kalender zeigt verschiedene Cover und Werbungen, z.B. die abgebildete Werbung von Dior, die Ihr auf dem zweiten Bild seht.
Von Zeit zu Zeit werde ich nun weitere Bilder mal aus den Kalendern zeigen, die mir gefallen. Sie sind zwar nicht aus dem Pirelli oder Lambertz Kalender, aber doch sehr schön :-)
I will have to take the time this weekend to select which outfits will go with me to New York and which special pairs of high heels I will take with me. You know girls and high heels…
I am sure to take my Louboutin boots Ronfifi Alta 100 leather boots with me and also my MIU MIU heels, but also a few of my special higher heels, especially for the evening and visiting clubs and restaurants.
As the space is limited on my luggage, I am sure, it will be a hard decision – but I still love high heels… and New York without high heels? No way!

Da allerdings auch mein Gepäck begrenzt ist, wird es sicherlich eine schwierige Entscheidung werden – aber ich liebe High Heels – und New York ohne High Heels? Auf keinen Fall…!
Finally back from my trip to Cologne, Dusseldorf and the Ruhr Area for a few business meetings and now time again for writing my blog. I am sorry for the delay of updates, but time were too limited for another update.
Today I wanted to share a few pictures from the Cologne Cathedral “Der Kölner Dom” and from the river Rhine, taken in Dusseldorf with me wearing a black dress with Wolford tights and new ankle boots. The weather during these days in Cologne and Dusseldorf was amazing – clear blue sky and warm temperatures in the sunlight.

Only three more weeks before I will go back to New York City for a few events and also for having the chance again for wonderful shopping in New York City.
Flights are already booked, hotelroom booked and transfer from Newark Airport to the city already arranged. Weather during this season will always be a surprise – between -15°C and+10°C everything might be possible.
