After you read about the opening of the Rigby & Peller Store – Blumenstrasse 24, Duesseldorf on March 1st, 2012, I wanted to share the second part of my beautiful trip to Rigby & Peller with you. On Friday, March 2nd, 2012 I had an additional meeting and also their world famous fitting and styling.

The first appointment for the day at 2pm was an interview with Sharon Teasdale (Retail Director of Rigby & Peller) and Liesbeth De Keyser (Marketing Manager Retail of Van der Velde, Belgium) and have to say, it was not only informative with new aspects, I had the luck to meet two warm hearted beautiful people, where I cannot wait to meet them again in London, Barcelona or whereever on the world.

They told me about the story of Rigby & Peller and the production of the lingerie in Belgium (only small parts will be processed in Tunisia and China), the final control will be back again in Belgium to control the high standards of the Royal Warrant and quality they have to deliver for every item and the service and care every single Rigby & Peller store have to prove every day. I learnt a lot about the regular customers and celebrities (heard the names, but my lips are sealed :)  ) also wearing Rigby & Peller and that every single customer gets their personal fitting (which is free! – still unbelivable for me taking so much time…). If you know or read about the service of Victoria Secret (complete different way) or Agent Provocateur (lingerie on higher prices for one single special night) – you will love Rigby & Peller forever.

You won’t believe, when you see the prices of the lingerie and compare the service they offer to you – when reading my post, I am sure you start thinking that a bra might cost 400 EUR or above – but you are completely wrong – most bras started with 40-60 EUR – you find in every regular lingerie store, but without the amazing service Rigby & Peller offers to you.

Talking about so many different aspects of collections and lingerie, fashion and blogging, travelling and different cultures and the interests for Rigby & Peller I got my personal fitting on the second part of the store by the store owner (former store owner Oreia). The fitting rooms are really huge, you will have enough space for two people and after learning about your style, taking your measures and finding together, what will fit best for you, you get the personal suggestions and examples. They do not want to sell you a new lingerie item quickly, they want to make sure, that you feel comfortable on it, start to smile and like your new curves – I tried a lot of different bras and finally found my personal favorite – a balcony bra – lace edition by Aubade Paris – The French art of Living… (examples at the end of this posting) – most woman need about 30-60 minutes including fitting to find their favorite bra (so I recommend to make always an appointment to be sure, that they have enough time for you)…

I can suggest to all of my female readers to visit their stores in London or Duesseldorf (new locations are coming to Berlin, Barcelona, etc) and try to find your personal style on their famous fittings. You will love it. I want to thank the beautiful and helpful staff of the store in Duesseldorf with their store manager and the teams of Rigby & Peller (UK) and Van der Velde (Belgium) for making the trip to Duesseldorf and Cologne so easy and wonderful relaxing for me. Translate: Nachdem Ihr alle über die Eröffnung des Rigby & Peller Stores in der Blumenstrasse 24 in Düsseldorf am 1. März gelesen habt – wollte ich nun den zweiten Teil mit Euch teilen und von meinem Termin am 02. März 2012 mit einem neuen Meeting und Ihrem besonderen und weltbekannten Fitting und Styling erzählen.

Das erste Meeting am Tag war für 14.00 Uhr angesetzt und war ein Interview mit Sharon Teasdale (Retail Director of Rigby & Peller) und Liesbeth De Keyser (Marketing Manager Retail of Van der Velde, Belgien) und ich muss sagen, es war nicht nur sehr informativ mit vielen neuen Aspekten, ich hatte das Glück zwei besondere und warmherzige Menschen kennen lernen zu dürfen, wo man es nicht erwarten kann, diese erneut in London, Barcelona oder wo auch immer auf der Welt zu treffen.

SIe haben mir über die Geschichte von Rigby & Peller und die Produktion der Dessous in Belgien (nur kleine Teile werden in Tunesien und China bearbeitet) und die Endkontrolle findet wieder in Belgien statt um die hohen Standards als königlicher Lieferant und die Qualität für jeden einzelnen Artikel und den Service in jeder Rigby & Peller Filiale jeden Tag auf das Neue beweisen zu können. Ich habe von normalen Kunden und Celebrities (ich habe die Namen gehört, werde diese aber nicht verraten :) ), die auch Rigby & Peller tragen und ebenfalls den Weg durch das Fitting (es ist umsonst! – immer noch unglaublich) gegangen sind. Wenn Ihr den “Service” von Victoria Secret oder Agent Provocateur (wahnsinnig teuer für eine einzige besondere Nacht) kennt, werde Ihr Rigby & Peller für immer lieben.

Ihr werdet es nicht glauben, wenn Ihr die Preise der Dessous und Wäsche seht und vergleicht, welcher Service Euch geboten wird. Ihr habt jetzt sicherlich gedacht, jeder BH kostet mindestens 400 EUR oder mehr – aber das ist komplett falsch – die meisten BHs starten bei 40-60 EUR – wie in jedem anderen guten Dessous-Geschäft auch, aber hinzu kommt der tolle Service von Rigby & Peller.

Wir haben uns über die verschiedensten Aspekte von Kollektionen und Wäsche unterhalten, Fashion und Blogging, reisen und verschiedene Kulturen und das Interesse an Rigby & Peller unterhalten, bevor dann mein persönliches Fitting durch die Geschäftsführerin von Rigby & Peller Düsseldorf (ehemals Oreia) stattfand. Die Umkleideräume sind wirklich sehr groß, problemlos für zwei Personen. Wir haben uns über meinen Stil unterhalten, was man ausdrücken möchte und die Maße genommen um dann – gemeinsam – herauszufinden, was perfekt sein könnte und mir wurden Vorschläge unterbreitet. Das schöne in Düsseldorf war, man möchte nicht schnell ein Wäschestück verkaufen, sondern der wichtigste Aspekt ist, das man sich selbst wohl fühlt und mit einem Lächeln die neuen Kurven sieht – ich habe verschiedene BHs getestet und meinen persönlichen Favoriten gefunden – einen Balcony-BH – Lace Edition von Aubade Paris – The French Art of Living (Beispiele siehe oben) – die meisten Frauen benötigen zwischen 30-60 Minuten inklusive Fitting um den perfekten BH zu finden (also unbedingt Termin absprechen, damit Ihr sicher sein könnt, es ist genügend Zeit für Euch vorhanden…)

Ich kann allen meinen weiblichen Lesern empfehlen einmal die Geschäfte in London oder Düsseldorf (neue Locations demnächst u.a. in Berlin und Barcelona) zu besuchen und euren persönlichen Stil beim Fitting zu finden. Ihr werdet es lieben.
