I announced it a few days ago, before most people already know that Lady Gaga will be back on tour called “The Born This Way Ball Tour – 2012-2013″ and the first official concert locations and the first pictures of the stage are out.
The huge Lady Gaga tour will start on April 27th, 2012 at the Olympic Stadium of Seoul South Korea and the official ticket sale will start shortly. Followed by concerts in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
The next concert dates will follow frequently and I really like the way of promoting the new concerts. Rumours say that the Lady Gaga concerts in Europe (locations: Barcelona, Madrid, London, Manchester, Paris, Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, Rome, etc.) will start around October/November 2012, but as soon as I got updates or tickets, I will inform you.
The stage of the Lady Gaga “The Born This Way Ball” will be like a huge old castle with special places for small monsters, who have waited in front of the concert arenas and will get special access without extra fees. Lady Gaga want to use this tour to say thank you for the great support over the years. And I cannot wait to see the next incredible outfits and high heels. After visiting the Superbowl 2010 in Miami live and you might already saw the posting about that (here) – it has become a good tradition to watch the Superbowl live on TV or on a public place. This time it was a great situation, as I already booked my tickets to New York and the home team – the New York Giants reached the Superbowl final.
In Miami, two years ago, the whole city was ready for the Superbowl (New Orleans Saints vs. Colts) and you find cookies, drinks, T-Shirts everywhere for both teams, this time in New York you expect to get on every corner items of their own team – the New York Giants, but without big success. A few sports shops and a few restaurants made small parties, but to watch it live – e.g. on video walls @ Times Square – you will have no luck.
In my opinion the game was not so interesting as the years before, too many errors for a great and quick game – but nevermind – New York won and a few people started a party at Times Square.
The other interesting thing on Superbowl are always half time show (this year Madonna – and I do not want to rate it… :-) ) and the commercials during the game – after the great success of the Volkswagen spot last year with the small boy playing Star Wars – it was again Volkswagen and AUDI with two special spots. I have added them below. What do you think about the commercial spots.

Dieses Mal war es eine glückliche Situation, ich hatte meine Flüge nach New York schon gebucht, als auch das Heimteam – die New York Giants – das Superbowl Finale erreicht haben.
In Miami, vor zwei Jahren, war die ganze Stadt bereit für den Superbowl (New Orleans Saints vs. Colts) and überall gab es Gebäck, Getränke, T-Shirts, etc. für beide Teams, aber dieses Jahr in New York war die Ausbeute eher spärlich. Einige wenige Sportgeschäfte hatten noch Shirts, wenige Restaurants machten kleine Parties, aber um es live auf großen Videowänden am Times-Square zu sehen – war schon sehr schwierig.
Meiner Meinung nach, war es kein so interessantes Spiel, wie die Jahre zuvor, zu viele Fehler für ein schnelles und gutes Spiel – aber abgesehen davon – New York hat gewonnen und ein paar Fans starteten eine kleine Party am Times Square.
Der zweite interessante Punkt am Superbowl ist immer die Halbzeitshow (dieses Jahr Madonna – ich spare mir einmal meine Meinung dazu :-) ) und die Werbung während des Spiels – nach dem großen Erfolg von Volkswagen im letzten Jahr mit dem Jungen in Star Wars Uniform – war es auch dieses Jahr für mich wieder Volkswagen und AUDI mit zwei sehr guten Spots. Ich habe Sie einmal unten beigefügt. Was haltet Ihr von den Spots?
The rumours getting louder and louder and I received the information a few days ago, after the big success on the Monster Ball Tour 2009/2010 – Lady Gaga will return on stage in 2012 and 2013.
I saw the Monster Ball Tour 2009 and was really satisfied with the show and cannot wait to go back to a concert in 2012 or 2013. As rumours said, they are already practicing for the Lady Gaga Tour 2012 and the cities and availability to purchase tickets will be announced shortly. The tour with about 450 concerts should start in Asia and be the longest pop-tour in history (more concerts than the Beatles and the Rolling Stones)
The name of the tour is not yet announced but Lady Gaga already said in the past that it might be possible to name the Lady Gaga Tour 2012/2013 “Born this way ball” or “The third Monster ball”…
For me it is always great to these extreme stylish concerts and I will try to go to Munich and second location. It is great to compare the atmosphere of your hometown with other venues worldwide.

Ich habe die Monster Ball Tour 2009 gesehen und war sehr beeindruckt von der Show und kann nicht erwarten wieder ein Konzert in 2012 oder 2013 besuchen. Wie Gerüchte sagen, sind die Proben für die Tour bereits angelaufen für die Lady Gaga Tour 2012 und die Städte und Kartenvorverkaufsstellen werden in Kürze bekannt gegeben. Die Lady Gaga Tour soll ca. 450 Konzerte beinhalten und zunächst in Asien beginnen und die längste Konzert-Tour in der Popgeschichte werden (mehr Konzerte als die Beatles und die Rolling Stones)

It was the second time on the Rihanna “The Loud Tour” that I got the chance to see her live and it was really special. For me it was the first time at O2 Arena in London and it is a great place for concerts and events.
After a 90 minute drive from my hotel at Picadilly Circus to the Arena, it was a quick access to my seats (special thanks to the hotel for making the arrangement so quickly and without complications).
To see the people in London at the Rihanna concert was quite interesting – not to compare with Munich at Olympiahalle where people are dressed more stylish and extreme – here in London the blue jeans and t-shirt was more typical. Also a lot of ladies with 5 or 6inch heels unable to walk on them :-) .
I decided for another sexy outfit, you can see on the first preview pictures below (more pictures with this outfit will follow shortly on a seperate posting). The Rihanna show was again really great, not as extreme as most people stated and not as sexy as the “Good Girl gone bad” tour before. But still perfect and if you like her music, it is worth to visit the concert twice.
A lot of special effects and clothes changes during the 2 hour concert are aspects on this show, also to add guests with “stage access” directly to the show. This thursday it will be the final concert at O2 Arena in London and I am sure, I will also visit the next concerts of the next Rihanna Tour in 2012/2013.

Eigentlich war Zürich geplant, aber da die Ticketagentur von XChange24.ch es nicht geschafft hat, die Karten per UPS bis zum Konzert zuzuschicken (und sich lieber für den kostengünstigeren Weg per Schweizer Post entschieden hatte) sind die Karten nicht bei mir bis zum Termin angekommen und ist somit von mir absolut nicht empfehlenswert. Wenn Ihr Karten sucht, nehmt einen vernünftigen Ticketanbieter oder bucht diese direkt über euer Hotel – dieser Anbieter spart leider am verkehrten Ende und kann nicht empfohlen werden. Die Kommunikation am Telefon ist zusätzlich äußerst unhöflich.
So hatte ich zumindest die Möglichkeit mir auch einmal die O2 Arena in London anzusehen – ein wirklich toller Platz für Konzerte und Events. Nach einer 90 minütigen Fahrt vom Hotel zur O2 Arena ging der Zutritt zu den Plätzen wirklich sehr schnell, die Karten waren sehr schön – an dieser Stelle noch einmal ein besonderer Dank an das Hotel, die es mir so schnell und problemlos ermöglicht haben.
Sich die Menschen beim Rihanna Konzert in der O2 Arena in London anzusehen war wirklich interessant, nicht zu vergleichen mit dem Konzert in der Münchener Olympiahalle, wo die Menschen stylischer und extremer gekleidet waren – hier in London waren vor allem Bluejeans und T-Shirt typisch genauso wie viele Frauen mit 12 oder 15cm Absatz und unfähig darauf zu laufen :-) .
Ich habe mich wieder einmal für ein eher sexy Outfit entschieden, die erste Vorschau findet Ihr bereits auf den Bildern (weitere Bilder mit dem Outfit folgen in einem seperaten Posting). Die Rihanna Show war wieder sehr gut, nicht so extrem auf aufreizend, wie immer wieder beschrieben wird und nicht so sexy wie die vorherige “Good Girl Gone Bad” Tour. Aber wieder perfekt und wer die Musik mag, der kann auch ein Konzert zwei Mal besuchen.
Wieder viele Special Effects, einige Kleidungswechsel während der 2 Stunden und das Einbeziehen der Gäste mit den Karten für den Stage-Access. Am heutigen Donnerstag findet in London das Abschlusskonzert der Rihanna The Loud Tour in der O2 Arena statt und ich werde mir sicherlich die nächsten Konzerte bei der Tour 2012/2013 ansehen.

As mentioned before, the show was amazing – special moments during the show and on the aftershow events. Special guest stars like Sarah Brightman, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, and all Phantoms of the London show ever played singing together with Sarah Brightman, so if you like musicals in that way – it was THE show :-)

Most you know about my last trip to London and the reason for that. I had wonderful tickets for the Phantom of the Opera 25th anniversary celebration at the world famous Royal Albert Hall and it was a magnificient event you will never forget.
I heart about a lot of people who went to cinemas worldwide to take a look on the live broadcast from Royal Albert Hall and approx. 2 weeks ago, it was also possible to order the Blue-Ray DVD. I received my copy about a week ago and find the time yesterday evening to watch it completly.
The live event was real special, because everyone was dressed in the boxes with luxury evening dresses, wonderful high heels, all guys in suits and tie – so there was a real opera atmosphere.
The cast of the show – especially with the best phantom ever – Ramin Karimloo (currently at Les Miserables in London as Jean-Valjean) and Sierra Boggess as Christine Daaé are the best you will find for Phantom of the Opera and the DVD – Phantom 25th anniversary at Royal Albert Hall is also a milestone of music or musical history.
If you want ro receive your personal copy you will get it at Amazon.co.uk and can also ship it to most destinations worldwide. In Germany the DVD will be available from the middle of February 2012.

Das Live-Event war schon etwas besonderes, jede in den Logen war elegant gekleidet, luxuriöse Abendkleider, wunderbare High Heels, alle Männer in Anzug oder Smoking mit Fliege oder Krawatte – also eine besondere Opernstimmung.
Die Besetzung der Show – besonders mit dem besten Phantom was es jemals gab – Ramin Karimloo (momentan bei Les Miserables in London als Jean-Valjean) und Sierra Boggess als Christine Daaé ist im Moment wohl die absolute Bestbesetzung für das Phantom der Oper – und die DVD Phantom 25th anniversary at Royal Albert Hall ist auch ein Meilenstein der Musik oder Musical Geschichte.

Bedingt durch den Feiertag Thanksgiving am Donnerstag nutzen viele Familien den freien Tag für einen ausgiebigen Einkaufstag. Viele Geschäfte haben sich bereits darauf eingestellt und beginnen mit Angeboten und Mailings bereits einige Tage vorher.
Wir haben dieses Jahr einmal die Metropole New York etwas genauer unter die Lupe genommen und durften erfahren, dass die Woche ab Dienstag vor Thanksgiving bis Sonntag nach Thanksgiving, die Zeit mit den höchsten Hotelpreisen in New York sind. Wo Ihr im Januar für ein 4-5 Sterne Hotel häufig an Promotion-Aktionen und Zimmerpreisen um die 190 – 240 US$ kommen, müssen Ihr diese Tage mit über 400 US$ rechnen. Ob Ihr dann noch entsprechend viele Angebote finden, bleibt natürlich euch überlassen.

Die Fahrt von Newark Airport (EWR) und John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) beträgt per Taxi zwischen 50 und 70 US$ und der Mittwoch vor Thanksgiving wird von vielen Geschäften bereits zu Vorbereitungen für den Ansturm am Freitag genutzt. Der Donnerstag (Thanksgiving) ist komplett geschlossen und kann wunderbar zum Besuch der Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade (siehe gesonderter Bericht) genutzt werden.
Die großen Kaufhausketten wie Macys, Bloomingdales, Lords & Taylor locken mit Eröffnungsangeboten bereits ab Mitternacht, aber stellt euch auch direkt darauf ein, es gibt auch dann noch viele große Schlangen und Menschenmassen die darauf warten.
Bloomingdales lockte 2011 z.B. mit vielen 50% und mehr Rabattaktionen und pro 100 US$, die Ihr im Geschäft ausgegeben habt, erhaltet Ihr noch einmal einen Warengutschein über 15 US$, der innerhalb der nächsten vier Wochen verwendet werden kann.
Zum idealen Sparen bedeutet dieses also, zunächst die Tourist-Discount-Card am Customer Service kostenlos abholen (in der Regel ca. 10% Rabatt) und dann auf Rabattsuche gehen. Die wichtigsten Artikel direkt bezahlen und sich anschließend für alle Einkäufe die Gutscheinkarten abholen. Im Laufe des Tages könnt Ihr also noch genüsslich die Rabattkarten verwenden und bequem damit bezahlen.
Die Kaufhaus- und Modekette H&M lockte wieder mit großen Rabatten (bis zu 70%) sowie 2-für-1-Aktionen. Also auch hier einmal genauer hingucken.
Wenn Ihr genügend Geduld habt und Ihr euch durch die Menschenmassen schieben möchten, empfiehlt sich ein Black-Friday-Shopping-Tag in New York auf jeden Fall, nur solltet Ihr euch vorab bereits genau überlegen, wo Ihr einkaufen möchten und eure Prioritäten festlegen.
Beachtet bei der Rückkehr in die Bundesrepublik Deutschland, dass Ihr keine unbegrenzten Einfuhrmengen haben! Sollte die Freimenge überschritten sein, wählt ubnedingt den roten Ausgang bei der Einreise und verzollt die Ware entsprechend. Es ist auch in diesen Fällen häufig noch viel günstiger, als zu regulären Preisen zu kaufen oder direkt in Deutschland einzukaufen. Gleiches gilt auch bei Laptops z.B. von Apple (MacBook Pro, MacBookAir oder IPAD).
Wenn Ihr die Möglichkeit habt, bleibt bis Sonntag – dann sind viele Flüge auch sehr viel günstiger, oder lockt euch einfach mal auf der amerikanischen Seite der Lufthansa ein und schaut doch nach Einzelflügen, die oft günstiger sind als ein Hin- und Rückflug von Deuschland.
For me it was again a coming back to my former hometown Dusseldorf, to meet friends and to take a look back on the things changed over the past months.
As it was time for christmas markets everywhere in the city, I decided to go back to the “Altstadt” in evening for dinner and also to enjoy the lights of the christmas markets and decorations.
I started my trip at famous Duesseldorf Koenigsallee with all the famous labels, Gucci, Prada, Chanel, Tiffany and also not to far away Hugo Boss, Wolford, etc. – so you see a lot of interesting windows everywhere.
You will find a few snapshots I took during the trip and it was really interesting to compare the atmosphere in Duesseldorf and Munich – and I prefer Munich now. :-)

Da die Weihnachtsmärkte in den Städten schon begonnen haben, entschied ich mich für einen Gang in die “Altstadt” am Abend für ein Abendessen und ebenso um die Lichter und Dekorationen, wie auch Weihnachtsmärkte zu genießen.
Ich bin wieder auf der Düsseldorfer Königsallee angefangen, mit den bekannten Labels Gucci, Prada, Chanel, Tiffany und nicht weit entfernt auch Hugo Boss, Wolford, etc. – überall gab es interessante und schön gestaltete Schaufenster.
Ihr findet einige Fotos, die auf dem Gang entstanden sind und es war wirklich interessant die Stimmung von Düsseldorf und München zu vergleichen – und ich ziehe München vor :-)
I received the message a few hours ago and I know, that many of you wanted to go to concerts, especially to Vienna, Strassbourg and a few of you to Earls Court, London and it was a real sad news that all following concerts are postponed.
Due to his pneumonia it was necessary to cancel all following concerts till the end of the year to get full recovery and silence. I am very sorry for all of you who wanted to go there and called me or send me emails and asked about my concert in Munich.
I have to say, the concert in Munich was still amazing with a real personal touch and I can understand how hard it is for you to get the new dates of the George Michael and the Symphonica Tour 2011. All tickets will still be valid on the new dates. I will check the information for you and will also post them to my page, after I receive them – may be I will visit another concert in London in 2012.

Auf Grund der Lungenentzündung war es notwendig alle folgenden Konzerte abzusagen und Ruhe und Erholung bis zum Jahresende zunächst einmal zu gewähren. Es tut mir wirklich sehr leid für alle von Euch, die mich über meine Erfahrungen beim George Michael Konzert befragt haben.
Ich muss nach wie vor sagen, dass Konzert war wunderbar, mit einem persönlichen Touch und ich kann verstehen wie hart es ist, auf die neuen Daten der George Michael und Symphonica Tour 2011 warten zu müssen. Alle Tickets behalten weiterhin die Gültigkeit. Ich werde für euch ein wenig die Tourdaten überprüfen und auf meiner Webseite posten. Vielleicht besuche ich dann auch noch ein Konzert in London 2012

I found this picture so typical for a great Black Friday day – bags full of interesting fashion and clothes and I know that most of you, especially in the US will wake up very early to start their personal Black Friday shopping tour.
I did it in New York a year ago and won’t believe how many people start waiting in lines 8 – 10 hours before stores open and I decided during that night, to go back to the hotel, enjoy a warm bed and start the trip in the afternoon.
It was much easier and you still find a lot of good items, you also found on my pictures and for all of you who won’t be successful or won’t wait in lines in cold November – Cyber Monday is coming and I heard from a lot of friends, the first good deals are announced. I wish you all a wonderful Friday evening – I will upload tomorrow a new fashion gallery with a new look and may be a video if they deliver my editing program by Amazon tomorrow.

Es war viel einfacher und man fand noch sehr viele gute Angebote, die Ihr auch zum Teil auf meinen Fotos findet und für alle von Euch, die nicht erfolgreich waren oder nicht in Schlangen in der Kälte vor den Geschäften warten wollten, der Cyber Montag kommt ja noch und ich habe von einigen Freunden schon gehört, dass es tolle Angebote geben soll.
