Today I received a very interesting invitation by RIGBY & PELLER – the Lingerie Stylist from London, who will open their first store in Düsseldorf, Germany on March 1st, 2012 – only two minutes away famous Königsallee, located in Shadowarcaden. After six stores in the UK (e.g. Knightsbridge, Mayfair, Chelsea, Westfield, Cambridge and Bluewater) this is the first store outside Great Britain – new stores in Spain will follow shortly.

You know that I also like lingerie by Agent Provocateur, but RIGBY & PELLER have a complete different concept which is really intersting. RIGBY & PELLER, which received the title “Royal Warrant” by H.M. Queen Elizabeth II in 1960, will find the perfect look together with you. You can arrange individual appointments for their lingerie advice and find together the perfect style for your curves, your lifestyle and your personality.

Their major topic is to understand the wishes and desires of every woman. So if you are in Dusseldorf after March 1st, 2012 – visit their store at Blumenstrasse 24, opening hours are Mo-Fr. 10-19, Sa 10-18. I will travel to Dusseldorf and Cologne and write about their opening and the store and especially check out their corsets by Vollers. This spring and summer seems to become a real interesting shoe season. On one side you have tons of nude and black high heels with classic heel or platform and on the other side you have a lot of extreme block heels with intensive colors (e.g. by Dior). I started collecting a few on the shoe department by SAKS Fifth Avenue on their store in Manhattan and was looking for the right pair for me.

I really like the leopard print on the Christian Louboutin shoes, but the heel is much to small for me. I prefer the style like the one by Louboutin with lace, especially to mix with casual clothes, e.g. a black jeans or dark pants. Below the Louboutins, you will find three traditional styles by Valentino, which I really like, but more for evening events, followed by the new trend, the colorful platform heels (e.g. by DIOR) and back to the black and nude version by TODS.

On the last picture you will find a mixture of nude or golden shoes for spring / summer 2012 by Miu Miu, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Christian Louboutin again and also Jimmy Choo.

When buying shoes I will always look for two kind of shoes – one season trendy high heels – not so superexpensive and classical or total eyecatching shoes which are comfortable and for more than a season. I prefer to have my classical shoes by Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, or Prada, which are mostly very comfortable.

This time I was not lucky enough to find the perfect pair of heels for spring / summer 2012 – but I found a great new pair a few days ago online, presented by Victoria Beckham – designed by Walter Steiger.

Translate: Dieses Frühjahr/Sommer-Saison scheint schuhtechnisch eine besonders interessante Saison zu werden, auf der einen Seite gibt es viele neue Nude- oder klassisch schwarze High Heels, auf der anderen Seite sehr intensive Farben mit Blockabsatz und Plateau (wie z.B. von DIOR). Ich habe einmal einige zusammengefasst bei meinem letzten Besuch bei SAKS.

Mir persönlich gefällt der Leopardenprint-Schuh von Louboutin sehr gut, aber der Absatz ist mir zu flach, dann schon eher die Version mit der überzogenen Spitze, die man fantastisch mit Alltagskleidung, wie z.B. einer schwarzen Jeans mischen kann. Unter den Louboutins findet Ihr drei sehr traditionelle Styles von Valentino mit Schleife, die mir auch für einen Abend eher gefallen, gefolgt vom neuen Trend, farbigen Plateaus (wie z.B. von DIOR) und den klassischen Schuhen von TODS.

Auf dem letzten Bild findet Ihr eine Mischung von verschiedenen goldenen und nude Schuhen für Frühjahr/Sommer 2012 von Miu Miu, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Christian Louboutin und auch wieder Jimmy Choo.

Wenn ich nach Schuhen schaue, achte ich immer auf zwei Punkte – trendige Schuhe für eine Saison, nicht zu teuer  – oder aber klassische oder total besondere Schuhe für mehrere Jahre. Ich wähle dann gerne Schuhe von Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo und Prada, wobei gerade die letzten sehr bequem sind.

During my trip to New York it was a must-visit for me this time – the Highline Park in Manhattan, which starts from Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District (with all the famous labels) up to 30th Street, between 10th and 11th Avenue. The first part opened in June 2009, the second till 30th street in June 2011.

I read a lot of this Highline Park and it is wonderful to walk a few meters above the streets on an old railroad track. You will see most of the attractions in the background (take a look on the pictures below with Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, Statue of Liberty, etc.) and it is great to walk – also with higher heels…

It was a sunny, but cold day in the morning, so take the metro down to Meatpacking district, browse around the stores and then start walking back to your hotel on 42nd street (or take the metro for the final step from 34th/Penn-Station to 42nd/Port Authority). Hope you like the pictures…

Translate: Während meiner Reise nach New York, war es dieses Mal ein Must-Visit, der Highline Park in Manhattan, welcher in der Gansevoort Street im Meatpacking District beginnt (mit allen berühmten Labels und Clubs) und bis zur 30. Straße geht (zwischen der 10. und 11. Avenue). Der erste Teil wurde im Juni 2009 eröffnet, der zweite Teil im June 2011.

Ich habe bereits einiges vorab über den Highline Park gelesen und es wirklich wunderschön dort spazieren zu gehen, einige Meter über der Straße auf einem alten Schienenstrang. Ihr könnt die meisten New Yorker Attraktionen direkt von dort sehen (wie z.B. Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, Freiheitsstatue, etc.) und es lässt sich sehr gut laufen – auch auf höheren Schuhen…

Es war ein sonniger, wenn auch sehr kalter Morgen, also zunächst die Metro in das Meatpacking District nehmen, ein wenig durch die Shops schlendern und dann mit dem Rückweg zum Hotel in der 42. Straße beginnen (oder nehmt die Metro für das letzte Stück von der 34. Straße/Pennstation bis zur 42. Straße/Port Authority)… Ich hoffe Euch gefallen die Fotos…

Between my updates about New York I want to share with you what I found yesterday on a Wolford Boutique in Munich. I was looking for a few special outfits for a new project coming at the end of March / beginning of April 2012 and for that I will go back to the States.

I took a look at the Wolford collection and found a lot of interesting prints everywhere. It was hard to decide but this time I selected the Tights called “Tiger” in black/sahara. You will get them also in black/black but I prefered to have nude legs and the only attraction is the Tiger print.

I think about combining them with black Louboutin High Heels, a short mini skirt and a special top. I also added a few pictures of the Wolford Spring / Summer 2012 collection below, you will find on their flyers or magazines. I also like the new neck collar they offer – and I will take a look for it within the next days.

Translate: Zwischen meinen Updates über New York wollte ich Euch zeigen, was ich gestern in einer Wolford Boutique in München gefunden habe. Ich war auf der Suche nach einem besonderen Outfit für ein neues Projekt welches voraussichtlich Ende März / Anfang April 2012 beginnt und für das ich noch mal in die Staaten fliege.

Ich habe mich also bei Wolford umgeschaut und viele interessante Prints gefunden. Die Entscheidung war nicht leicht, aber diesmal war es die Strumpfhose “Tiger” in schwarz/sahara. Diese Strumpfhose ist auch erhältlich in schwarz/schwarz, aber ich ziehe es vor, transparente Strumpfhosen mit Muster zu wählen, da der “Tiger” dann mehr aufmerksamkeit erhält.

Ich werde die Strumpfhose von Wolford voraussichtlich mit schwarzen Louboutin High Heels kombinieren, dazu ein sehr kurzer Minirock und ein besonderes Top. Ich habe Euch noch ein paar weitere Fotos aus der Wolford Frühjahr / Sommer Kollektion 2012 hinzugefügt. Ich finde z.B. auch das Halsband sehr schön und werde es mir in den nächsten Tagen noch einmal ansehen.

Part II of my pictures of Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Skyline – this time by night. Taken from the Brooklyn Bridge Park around 6pm in the evening and it was really cold. The wind came over the East River, but the skyline is still impressive.

On a few pictures you will see the new World Trade Center (WTC1 – still on construction – opening 2013) and on the total right of the pictures – behind the Brooklyn Bridge – you will see the Empire State Building.

On other pictures you will see really small Statue of Liberty on the left and the Manhattan Skyline on the right. If you want to go to the park in the evening, it is very close by Subway / Metro from Manhattan Island and you have to walk about 5 Minutes to come to East River. Translate: Teil II meiner Fotos von der Brooklyn Bridge und Manhattan Skyline – dieses Mal bei Dunkelheit. Aufgenommen vom Brooklyn Bridge Park gegen 18.00 Uhr und es war wirklich kalt, der Wind kam über den East River, aber war beeindruckend.

Auf einigen Fotos seht Ihr bereits als scheinbar höchstes Gebäude das neue World Trade Center (WTC1 – noch im Bau – Eröffnung 2013) und ganz rechts auf einigen Bildern, hinter der Brooklyn Bridge – das Empire State Building.

Auf weiteren Fotos seht Ihr die wirklich kleine Freiheitsstatue ganz links, sowie die Manhattan Skyline rechts. Wenn Ihr den Park einmal am Abend besuchen möchtet, ist er sehr schnell mit der Metro von Manhattan zu erreichen und man läuft ca. 5 Minuten zum East River. During my trip to New York I also wanted to make a stop at the famous Michael Kors store @ 5th Avenue, Manhattan. The store is in front of the famous Rockefeller Center Building with the ice skating rink.

If you compare this store with most stores you find in Miami, Los Angeles or also here in Munich it is much bigger and you will find nearly every item you also find on the onlinestore. The service is very friendly and helpful – but the store is also highly frequented by tourist. My personal favorite Michael Kors stores are currently the one in Munich, Theatinerstrasse or in Boca Raton, Florida (Boca Town Center)

Hope you like the new handbags and watches (I do not wear a Michael Kors watch, I prefer a different label :) ) – the clothes are also very great and I really like the new collection.

Translate: Während meines New York Aufenthaltes wollte ich auf jeden Fall auch einen Stop im Michael Kors Store in der Fifth Avenue in Manhattan machen. Der Kors-Store ist vor dem berühmten Rockefeller Center mit der berühmten Eislauffläche und gegenüber von Saks-Fifth Avenue…

Wenn man diesen Store mit den meisten Geschäften in Miami, Los Angeles oder auch hier in München vergleicht, ist dieser Store viel größer und es gibt wirklich fast jeden Artikel aus dem Onlinestore. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit – aber auch sehr von Touristen frequentiert. Meine persönlichen Lieblings-Michael-Kors-Geschäfte sind noch immer, der Store in München in der Theatinerstraße, sowie in Boca Raton, Florida (Boca Town Center).

Ich hoffe Euch gefallen die neuen Handtaschen und Uhren (ich trage zwar selber keine Uhr von Michael Kors und bevorzuge ein anderes Label :) ..) – die Kleidung im Geschäft war ebenfalls sehr schön und gefällt mir sehr gut.

And another update of my wonderful days in New York. But first of all – wishing you and your love ones a wonderful Valentine’s day. I hope you will enjoy the evening together, go out for dinner, etc. – but first of all – enjoy the new pictures of NYC.

These pictures are taken opposite of Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge, you can take the Metro to Brooklyn (if you stay 3 or more days in NYC take the 7-day unlimited card for USD 29) and walk about 500 meters to the East River with a beautiful view of Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, the Brooklyn Bridge, the Empire State Building and the new World Trade Center 1 (WTC1 – currently on construction).

As you can see on my pictures, it was a really wonderful day with sunshine and blue sky, perfect for a walk at the Brooklyn Bridge Park, where they celebrate concerts, opera events or sport events. I will show you more pictures with Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Skyline by Night on the next postings… but I am sure you will love it.

Wie Ihr auf den Bildern erkennen könnt, war es ein wirklich wunderschöner Tag in New York mit Sonnenschein und blauem Himmel, perfekt für einen Spaziergang im Brooklyn Bridge Park, wo auch Konzerte, Opernveranstaltungen oder Sportveranstaltungen abgehalten werden. Weitere Fotos mit der Brooklyn Bridge bei Nacht, folgen in Kürze und ich bin mir sicher, sie werden Euch gefallen.

Great winter weather and a new look of the day. It is still really cold in Munich (-10°C during the day), but going out with this minidress makes a lot of fun. I cannot wait to wear the dress with the platform high heels on one of the next parties or events in Munich or around the world.

I still prefer to wear dresses, especially minidresses for most  occasions, they are always a touch classy but perfect and great to combine with accessoires and jewelry.

I hope you like the black minidress with one sleeve (Zara, UK), combined with nude tights (Wolford) and black platform pumps (Aldo) and will vote for my look at Lookbook, Chicisimo, Chictopia or share the look.

Today I also started my first steps on the new social network called “PInterest”, where you can share your favorite pictures of webpages and “pin them to your board” – like you did with regular photos years ago.
